What a shambles when attacking - there is nobody directing play from half back. The only decent move resulted in our last try, and we couldn't understand why such a move had not been tried before instead of the battering ram approach for 78 minutes.
Felt sorry for the forwards - except Harrison who I thought didn't have his best game - they ploughed away all match only to be let down by the backs dropping the ball or Monaghan kicking it aimlessly on the last tackle.
Once Bridge went off there was little coming from the half backs.
Monaghan's kicking game is poor and his passing even worse.
John Clarke should be replaced by a paper shredder - it would be more use than that waste of space.
Thought King was worthy of his place today as was Bridge, but without the little general - Briers - nobody seemed to know where they should be.
I know that TS has to get the defence working well before we can expand on attack, and that the conditions today were wet and slippy, but please can we expect more than the Cullen tactic of one man rugby.
Final word on the ref - seemed to ignore high tackles and not being square, unless it was us doing it.
Not blaming him for the loss though.
Think we can write off the league this season and hope that TS et al can get a team together for next year.
Even Salford had more guile going forward than we did, with Myler fooling our defensive line twice.
We desperately need a creative half back pairing, and Monaghan is not, and never will be the answer. Hope that Bridge, injury allowing, and Briers are together on Monday.
