As simplistic as that view is i kind of agree with you, just glad i've not worked in that area for months now.
Most of those were just the postcode 'mafia' idiots that frequent that area.
Saying crap like

While you can't condone the vandalism etc, it's hard to believe anyone would agree with the OP's point about police shooting people dead being something to celebrate.

Especially that fine, upstanding institution that is the Metropolitan Police. It's not like they've ever killed any innocent people before.

Anyway, funniest thing from last night was the rioter hitting the panda car with a traffic cone. Not exactly Basil Fawlty, but funny, nevertheless.

The guy shot at a copper, deserved all he got. If you don't want the police to shoot people then first of all don't carry a gun and secondly don't shoot at the police.

kind of agree meant take them off the streets, not kill them.
Give them a few smacks then bang em up.
These idiots go on about police brutality yet i've always found them professional and courteous, the thing is they don't like the police in their face because they actually have something to hide.
The police on this occasion that flared it were shot at, they retaliated and killed the guy, what they supposed to do, tell him to stop or they'll take away his pocket money?
Sometimes the police are in a lose lose situation but they still have to make a decision.

This country has been far too soft for far too long.

We might have some numpties up here in cheshire but they aint half as bad as some of the scum down there.
