vO/T Looking for a rooftop for a video : Thu Mar 10, 2011 1:30 am  

Very random (and off topic!)and a unusual question here, am making a music video in next couple weeks* and we are looking for a high rooftop to film the band on. Something like the picture below. unfortunately the location isn't available anymore Need access to it at sunrise for a short while, film in day and night. It's a long shot but if anyone's works is in a tall building or someone you know might able to help with access to one etc would be massively appreciated! Tried a council multistorey car park in Warrington (ideal height/ size to be honest), but, unworkable at the moment. Would it not be easier to play to a fake background kinda thing in a hall or something like that???
It will save on lugging all your gear amps,guitars,drums,leads e.t.c all the way up to the top,I mean it worked for Peter Kay on his amarillo video,it even reinvented Tony Christie into the bargain as well???Just a thought.

what about the converted Mills, leigh/bolton ask the landlord to use the roof.

Top of market car park then you dont need to carry anything.

Mate of mine based in bolton who makes music videos for a day job use to use a mill quite often in bolton but can't anymore afrer someone fell off! I believe unrelated to mate however.

It would be a nightmare to be honest, it has its benefits but the peter kay video used a static camera facing towards screen, so less worries about lining up the shots to the right background, would also need to dress the hall to look like a building top. Its a possibility but I can tell if its not genuine thing.
