Evening all,Just a quick note for those who may have met him at matches over the years to say that my dad Bartonflyer, aka Ian Jones, passed away peacefully this afternoon a couple of years after being diagnosed with prostate cancer.
Typically, after 25 years following Salford home and away, he was fairly unaware of anything by the time we finally beat Leeds, so the last game we sat down together to watch was the dismal drubbing at Wakefield last week. If anything sums up a life as Salford fan, that's probably it.
