Bruce has previous for spouting complete drivel, in fact it's a refreshing change that it's directed at you rather than Hull FC.

I still stick by what I said when you announced your signings though, 8th is your target and if you get there it's been a really good season. Whatever happens, hopefully Koukash's enthusiasm doesn't waver because if he sticks it out and continues building I think you could be really competetive in another couple of years, and it's always nice to see another club battling for silverware.

What's all this so-called 'optimism' I keep hearing from Salford fans about what you think you'll do during the coming season? On what basis exactly?

All you've attracted to your usually empty stadium is load of over the hill players and overrated ones like Rangi Chase.

I don't see you challenging the Wigans,Saints and Wires of this world. I don't even see you challenging my lot Hull KR. (who are a much bigger club than Salford, by the way)

Rumour had it your dodgy new owner wanted to change your name to the Salford OAPs in tribute to your new acquisitions. Can anyone confirm or deny this story?

I'm afraid you plastic Mancs are in for a poor season despite your hilarious predictions of a top four place. I can see a lowly 10th place finish for hapless Salford. You heard it here first.

This has put a right spring in my step this morning.

Water off a very rich, much improved ducks back.

On the contrary, what no one has realised is that our recruitment policy has been predicated on a secret desire of Dr K to win the Eurovision Song Contest. A skilful blend of tenors and basses has been put together by Brian Noble under the cover of building a Superleague rugby team.
I confidently expect to see the announcement in the MEN of Gareth Malone as head coach any day now.
Don't forget folks, you read it here first!

Quite correct.

One of the questions asked of Adrian Morley in last nights Forever Reds Meeting was whether Nobby was using all the jibes & put ' Dad's Army ' downs to incentivize the squad for the coming season , we'll add this to the list.

You have to be registered to read the article, but is it saying there are too many 'individuals' (i.e. not team players) in the squad and it's going to be difficult to get them to gel? If so, I agree. For me, our problem next season won't be strength in depth or ageing players, as some seem to think, it'll be getting the whole to be greater than the sum of the individual parts.

This must be a first
A Noble team that may fail as it contains too many individuals capable of unscripted play!
