Playing in a friendly that they would have won anyway would not constitute a raise in his fee. If he were to be picked in this years 4 nations however that would be different.

I think he will be as we do not have many options in that area, also a game against France would give him great experience.

Maybe it is all mischief making, but tapping up is illegal and talking to a contracted player without permission of the club is against the rules.
Perhaps the RL should state that any club that does this shoudl lose their SL status.
