Very few fans have a bad opinion of John Wilkinson, most appreciate his efforts over the years, yes there are a few with their own agenda but there are always a few of them.

As for McRae, one game does not wipe out last year's poor away form or the efforts for this season. Lets hope that some of the performance was down to the virus and injuries. Still expecting a thrashing over the weekend!

This is supporting Salford all over for me. A dreadful run taking you to total despair, then a good performance and win out of the blue. You start thinking, right here we go, lets build on this, then next game a good hiding, same old problems and its back to square one.

I find some people's comments astonishing on here at times. The team are finding their feet in SL and have gone from a club getting blown away in the first 15 minutes to competing for 30 minutes against Wigan . . to being level just after half-time against Hull KR . . to actually winning at Hull . . and still rather than seeing the progress some people prefer to remain pessimistic by stating the obvious and predicting heavy defeats against the elite clubs!

I think its time for some fans to get real and appreciate that it is a massive step up for a club that has less to spend on players at the moment than any other club in SL!

Sustainable success or competitiveness in professional team sport is all about money – end of!

As a young lad in Brindle Heath many years ago there was a saying"They would grumble to get hung"

I think that it applies to some people today with some of their comments/opinions that we know we are all entitled to but surely the topic has been done to death over the last few weeks.

We had an excellent result against Hull FC, the fans who went had their best day for years, the fans who did not travel had their best listen for years and John from Salford No 1 did not come on the radio, what a weekend.

On the money front how would Saints, Wigan, Warrington, Bradford etc perform with our salary cap? and before anyone pulls me up on that one it is up to the club to attract more fans which will in turn bring in more revenue and sponsors then once at the maximum salary cap there can be no excuses over the make up of the team, it will be down to the coaching staff etc.

A few performances like last Sundays will go a long way to improve the finances and therefore the team itself.

The cliche in sport goes that its a 'results industry', only the licensing system and removing the threat of relegation means this isn't strictly the case. I personally was more annoyed with a number of the players rather than the coaching staff for their evident lack of effort in games. I hope this result is a turning point though and all threads criticisng players/coaching staff/board members and anything linked to Jacksonville can be put to bed. We're all meant to be supporting the same team.

Salford fans are not results orientated , all those type of people buggered off down the East lancs when our star fell mid 70's. Our fans are integrity orientated, lose but played the best they could, you would hear few critics..

few people would openly attack the Chairman , however how could you defend the coach ? for me the jury's still out on McCrae.
