Robert Hicks talked about this several weeks ago. He (or the other refs) aren't the ones in charge of the volume switch or even the decision for the audience to be able to hear the refs. It's all on Sky this one, the ref is just doing his job.....he can't be running around thinking "I better communicate more quietly so I don't annoy the TV viewers."
