It is cheap, but on the flip side, it makes it an affordable day out for a family to attend. That's something the sport can be proud of, especially with how tight things are for some people at the moment.

I know some of the journos were having a whinge on Twitter about ticket prices being too cheap last week, which is fine when you never pay, but the issue is not big games being cheap, but clubs under valuing the prices of their season tickets.

I'd rather see the stadium full than half full with people who paid twice the price.

There is no financial excuse for RL fans not to support the game and go and watch a great RL event.

The requirement for this World Cup is to get people interested in International Rugby League again. The 2011 Four Nations at Wembley showed an appetite is there so the focus on the World Cup will be harnessing this further. Ticket sales for Cardiff, Wembley and Old Trafford have already surpassed the 2011 Wmebley crowd, which is a positive step towards the main goal. Setting prices at normal market levels would not achieve this. If successfully, you can start to charge higher prices as per the SL Grand Final in the future but developing the interest now is more important...

Ref tickets for Cardiff, are people aware of many people who haven't yet bought their tickets but are definitely interested in going?

Just got tickets for England v Ireland, New Zealand v Samoa and the opening games....a lot of the blocks sold out at the millennium stadium, can't wait now!

I've just bought tickets for the opening ceremony, the Big Hit, Langtree Park, Halliwell Jones and Leigh Sports Village. I will wait and see about any other matches as I can't afford to spend more than I have done.

I'm looking forward to the tournament.

That's a hell of a lot more than I've seen around St helens! We had a visit from the world cup a few weeks back and other than that there is just one flag hanging from a lamp post advertising the Australia-Fiji match.

Bristol has gone mad with their WC promotion. I follow their twitter feed and they have done so much that they deserve to have a massive turnout at their game. Well done to them.
