Going to repeat myself here but Wakefield sacked Tim Smith on the spot for drunk driving and he actually does have a mental health condition. ATOETD Atomic is right, Chase is an idiot with an attitude problem a bit like Scott Moore, Rich Owen, Kevin Locke.
The issue is Tim Smith, while drunk driving, crashed his vehicle into a civilian's house in broad daylight and got charged for it. Chase has been involved in tiffs in Pontefract and Featherstone and as far as I'm aware that's it - in the first instance he was started on by well-known thugs who have taken issue with him, and the second is under review. Not comparable situations at all.
Suppose it comes down to understanding whether a mental health issue is the reason for making poor life choices, or just being used as a convenient excuse to avoid taking personal responsibility for chosen actions.
A) do you have any case notes/doctor notes or information about Rangi Chase as an individual
B) Do you have any medical qualification in the mental health area? P.S the liberal bit was particularly cringey.
If none of the above, do think before speaking.
it's my opinion based on MY experience, if you don't like it, tough. I don't need any notes to voice an opinion and it be valid thanks. Presume you have (his mental health notes, if any) to counter my stance, thought not! As for your not liking my liberal comment, indulge me with some semblance as to why. Frankly why you even bothered replying with such a pi$$ weak response is anyone's guess. Do think before writing such a patheticly weak response!

As far as your aware eh, that means your guessing then, without trivialising Smith's incident he drove his car into a wall not a house, maybe you should have also added as far as I'm aware. Clearly poor old rangi is a victim in all this according to you, Smith gets drunk and drives a car Chase gets drunk and causes trouble both unacceptable but Wilzay's not trying to defend Smith, don't suppose you have any comment to make about the incident with Chase a few years back in the Escape.

My mistake, a wall and two cars and mounted a residential pavement, not a house - silly me, much better. I'm not saying he's a victim, of course he's an idiot who gets himself into bad situations, but one of these players was charged with a serious endangering crime and one wasn't. Therefore little comparison.

My point is no one blamed Smith's bi polar for his reckless idiotic actions. Why is Chase any different. The guy goes to a rival teams ground and starts a fight with a fan. How is that not anything but stupidity.
The fans, the members, the people there.. from the day I stepped foot onto that field at the AJ Bell Stadium,I knew I would love that club for the rest of my life. "Jackson Hastings"..

One likes people much better when they're battered down by a prodigious siege of misfortune than when they triumph.
Rangi's finished in League now. He obviously has issues and it's a sad decline for someone who had all the talent in the world.
At 31, he should do a KP and put himself up for the Union 7's circuit. Not sure what money is union 7's but KP is basically a freelance T20 Cricket player these days, travelling the world and playing in the domestic T20 comps. Rangi could get a good couple of years out of the 7's circuit and it suits his game to a tee.

Rangi (and anyone else) should be free to go and watch a game of rugby. That's not the issue here. The issue is that he was extremely drunk. Interestingly, my understanding is that Rangi was punched a number of times before he retaliated and prior to this, although drunk, he was not aggressive or trying to 'start a fight'. His stupidity was getting drunk, but this is often the symptom of a person's mental health difficulties.
