Not as cheap as signing a player on loan from a championship team, like Leeds, is it? Or what about Catalans signing a player that finished 5th in the middle eights last Year?

I assume you are referring to Tom Johnstone again Vasty, but according to your good self, you judge quality only on performance at international level and Uate has caps for Aus and Fiji with a hatfull of tries, so surely the only better player in superleague is McGillvary and we can't very well sign him seen as he plays for us already!

T-Mak has been shortlisted for the Golden Boot. Neither Jerry, Uate or Johnstone have been. Johnstone hasnt even been named in the england team. Therefore T-Mak is the best winger in SL

Even Richard Horne is a better International winger than Tom Johnstone based on international appearances

You're being a touch over sensitive old boy. I'm sure he'll do just fine for you as he is clearly a quality player however flyers we are not short of at the moment. My comment was more aimed at the poster who quite literally creams himself at any player signed from abroad as if somehow we don't already have them. The 'far better' comment was just their to help the poster who only seems to get hyper exageration.

As for TJ I wasn't especially thinking about him - substitute with a number of players of your own choice.

"I'm sorry, but I would hope that we would beat Cas with a 1 day turnaround."

An arrogant Wigan fan a few days before we stuffed them 18-4 at the JJB.

The irony is, Huddersfield have 2 great prospects, the senior twins, who could easy nestle on the wing and score 20 tries a piece. They'd probably warrant 20k each. This new lad will be on upwards on 120k. I think in England we are blessed with talented wing men. Therefore, I reckon Huddersfield would have been wise to invest elsewhere.

Not a dig at Huddersfield, but I recall playing them June time and they had 13+ players missing and some of their kids stood up well and deserve to be playing week in week out.

I too think there money would be better invested elsewhere on the field however I think you are vastly underrating the job of a modern day winger. Bringing the ball out from the back has become just as an important part of our game for a winger as finishing tries... JG is fantastic at this (Probably one of the best in the world) and Uate really isn`t that far behind him, I think kickers will definitely be looking to find touch next season against Hudds!
