Apparently Adam Pearson said the game at the kc is almost a sell out.

Surely not, all the sections haven't been opened up yet?

Only the West Stand left available in any numbers more than two and largely the top tier... they may be holding some tickets back for dancers etc...

Some might look at this as being harsh but I think it's fair. When are the Rugby League going to stop persisting with this fantasy expansion. If it hasn't worked by now, it never will! I'm all for reaching out to a wider audience with our game but not at the expense of historical clubs in the homelands.

I don't get the frustration that some feel over a few posters. If you look at the posters on this thread 99% of them are positive about the game.

The thread is about ticket sales, but mostly it's ticket speculation. Now most are taking the speculation offered from RL Jurno's at face value and I'm fine with that. If one or two choose to not believe it or if they do believe it they say it's not good enough, I really don't take great um-bridge with that.

In the end the discussion has been in the main on topic. The swearing has been kept to a minimum as have the insults. I would love it if 100% of posters where positive about RL. But I understand that some people will just want to grind an ax no matter the outcome.

If we are going to start bans due to popular demand, for me that a dangerous president to set.

Also don't forget self moderation is available- the ignore function means you can live in a totally positive spin world if that is your thing.

The AUP is pretty clear about what you can get bans for. Being a generally negative bod about all things RL related is not one of them yet. But also RLfans is a wide board. It's going to have a few grumps.

Anyway I'm feeling a ban on the way myself now.
It's nothing to do with positive or negative opinions, deliberate thread derailment is clearly prohibited by the AUP. But if you don't want to enforce it then whatever, it's not my problem if the site loses members.

Rule 1. I am always right.
Rule 2. If in any case I appear wrong, refer to rule 1.

Exactly, it's not just posting a differing opinion, it's if any news which would seem positive is questioned to the point of absolute tedium in a bizarre mentality created by mr eve. Yeah it's just a forum, it doesn't upset anyone i'd imagine, but the sheer persistence of the same stuff over and over again eventually makes people give up, probably because they have more important things in their lives to worry about. Unfortunately it appears Mr eve doesn't have much to do in his time other than patrol the board trying to put negative spins on everything, to which people don't have the time or effort to keep up with him. I wonder how many times he's brought up that he thinks cheap tickets are bad? It's sad and boring.

No....and no with bells on.
The organisers reticence to announce any actual sales figures, but instead cryptic releases about 40% of the available seats, or all seats sold implying Warrington was sold out, invites both question and ridicule in equal measure.

as for it's not my problem if the site loses members., this is simply another whine about someone who doesn't swallow the rhetoric everything is rosy in the RL garden and a select few begging the moderators to make the naysayers go away.

This is a thread regarding the RLWC ticket sales and therefore it invites opinion on the number of tickets sold.....given there are no concrete numbers actually available, speculation will rule and just because young Billy doesn't subscribe to the amateur sleuths on here as to "greyed out areas" is no excuse to call for him to be banned.

There is a word for people who try to silence those that disagree with them....fascist and I have to say, that is how you and speccy's imaginary "vast majority" are coming across

NRL expansion? Sometime soon, maybe......

Re: World Cup Ticket Sales : Fri Oct 25, 2013 6:15 am
Apparently over 6000 sold for both Craven park games with walk ups expected. Hopefully should reach the 8-9000 mark.

by the looks of things one block of the lower West Stand is being held for the dancers, as for ticket sales, I'd have thought we are 'only' at the 20-21K mark as there are still a few sections to be opened. Still much better than what the sales where a few weeks ago though, and it will sell out.

the official website is down, looks to be a server issue, but I live in hope that they are finally sorting the ground maps out, and colouring in sections that are open, and setting the others as sold out
