He actually said that we will continue to invest until we win something. You've added the last bit yourself to twist the meaning. He's ploughing money into facilities, coaching, and youth development alongside spending on players - basically reversing years of under-investment by the previous owners.
Only in RL could someone willing to plough money into a club be demonised.
