On the back of today's T&A is a story about Lovegrove likely getting a permanent deal and that this raises questions over Lauaki's place as it's reported he was dropped for the Whitehaven game and not injuries as some have suggested. Ferres is to have a sit down with Lowes and discuss players not in the coaches plans going forward

If Lauaki is to leave, then I think it's a good call by the club. He's had chances and his behind his "didn't have a full preseason" excuse for too long and his wages could be better spent on positions we're weak in

There is a rumour that Cameo is suffering from Karl Pryce syndrome (looks the part but fails to achieve) the usual kick up the @rse failed to cure it!

We'd need to find someone daft enough to to take him on his current contract or we'd have to pay him off as he has almost a year left.

Getting rid may cost us.

Lovegrove in on a permanent deal and Lauaki out would make sense. Lauaki looks like Tarzan but plays like Jane.

TBF there a probably half a dozen at least it could be referring to, ie needing game time

Think the needing game time comment is probably talking in terms of fringe layers who aren't going to get in while everyone's fit even allowing for rotation. Likes of walshaw, uiasele, Fleming and crossley spring to mind. We're probably thinking in terms of sending them out on one month loans or dual reg to whoever we're linked with this year.

Lauakis problem isn't so much lack of game time, as he isn't capable of playing any significant game time when he's offered it. Think we need to cut our loses but it probably means paying him out or coming to a compromise deal as I can't see anyone taking him off our hands.

Having watched the Whitehaven game, I'd say that 4th prop spot is Clark's to lose right now. I was very impressed with his debut considering it was his first game and his first season as a full time professional.

When everyone's fit I'm sure the vast majority would choose 4 from Sidlow Clough Kavanagh Lovegrove and Clark as the props in the 17. Crossley was the form prop in the Championship a couple of seasons ago- his form persuaded Powell to offer him a deal with Cas. He's not returned to that form. Which leaves Fleming ( still young) Walker ( jury still out) and Lauaki ( jury has delivered a majority verdict).

Agreed. Personally i would like to see all 5 in the 17 when all fit.

Pitts came out after half time and played full half it was first game against Wakey he had limited game time.
