Sounds like they’ve tried hard not to blame individuals, just the “system”

Nigel Wood is poison. No other way of looking at this.

Thanks for the updates

I'm not really sure what I feel about the content. Overall, I guess I'm concerned that once again it feels like there is a lot more to tell - but that might just be cynicism from having been around this a few times before.

My biggest concern is who is actually going to be running the club in a few months, once Perez has done his stint as 'interim'? It obviously cannot be Sawyer - his club will likely be scrapping with us next season against relegation. And it obviously isn't going to be Nigel Wood, he works on the other side of the world.

I see that Duffy is still clinging to the club like a limpet

I was really hoping for a fresh start - but this doesn't feel like it...

Ugh. Yes, didn't twig that bit. Does he know where the tealady's bodies are buried or something?

Agreed with all of that. This time next year who will be taking the club forward and actually running things? Yes it's great we've avoided admin, will pay our creditors, but who's in charge in the long term planning of this club.

I hope the question gets asked ab why Chris Brereton decided to leave the consortium. I think we would have felt a little easier with him at the helm as we would have at least known who's running things.

Also I do think it's important we have some sort of fan representation on the board, even if they don't make any decisions controbutions. I know it can be a mine field as we could get a muppet like Gledhill sitting there, but with i
Us not really knowing who's running things, I think it's important we get some sort of representation. I personally think Bullbuilder are the only trust worthy folk we could put there, but I know they've made clear they don't want to be part of it previously.

Is that the 'scandal' eggy's been wittering on about for a while? I'd imagine the Gaming Board (or whatever they're called these days) would be interested in that, as well as the receiver from back then as has already been pointed out.

Unless it's been changed since I was there, I believe the constitution of the trust would need to be changed in order to facilitate that. When the constitution was originally written, it was very specifically to help the youth system and not to look for a place on the board.

That may have changed in the last few years, but it was certainly the case in the beginning.

None of them seem any different to any that have gone before. Heard everything they've said 3 times over the last ten years from someone else's mush.

I'd love to call it a day and not really care but I don't think I can.

Cheers. When I get home I'll try and look at other comments to see if I remember missing anything important.

I noticed Roger in attendance and it would be good to hear how he is feeling after what hes heard tonight.

As I said before, the message is fairly similar to past "fresh starts" but this was the lowest key one I've attended. Not glitz or free chocolate bars to bribe you with.... I took it as a lot of plain Yorkshire speaking with a tinge of hype in the form of a canadian accent.

This board sounds like it will change quite quickly so I don't think anyone can take much from tonight. It will all depend on who comes in for the long term.

Are players and fans going to buy into that when they know those they are negotiating with are gone in six months time?

I'll go as I'm a half glass full optimist with a gluten for punishment but some may decide it's not for them.

Feels there is quite a bit of the story still to tell

Hello mate, yes I was there listening to what was said.
I don’t think you could not listen intently and be quite impressed with what and how Mark Sawyer spoke about the future of the club. I thought he came across very well. Whether the chairman of another club is the person to do this, I really don’t know. It’s certainly a weird one. But I also noticed, probably a little more than some, John Kear was resigned to the fact the team will be nowhere near what it’s been this season. As it stands right now if we stay up next year I guess that will be the only aim, but how sad once again the team will be decimated

Storton to Leeds as part of the 32k that’s owed to us I’m told.
