Bradford Shouldn't even think about buying Fielding, Regardless of the fact he's nowhere near as good as he was and that he hasn't been performing.
They have a pretty strong pack a few of which are new recruits (Menzies, Worrincy, Scruton) and they need to concentrate on securing some of the current forwards (Lynch and I believe Morrison if they can) There next immediate search then should be for backs. Specifically half backs. Thats where you need people and thats where your money should be spent. This year if you have space under the cap (which the bird approach suggests) and Tupou's contract is ripped up?
I don't think anyone at the club is really even considering a move for Fielden. It's just idle chit chat on here. Why would we want him? Unless he can play 2nd row of course?

Lol....I dont even know where that came from. Must be having a dyslexic moment.
For clarification I meant FIELDEN. As in Stuart "I got owned by Willie Mason" Fielden. Also may be known as Stuart "I cost Wigan the most ridiculous sum ever" Fielden. Depends which side of the border you lie...
It's beginning to **** me off now all this. Are our backs really that slow?
Platt, Sheriffe, Tadulala, Halley, Jeffries? They would pretty well match most for pace wouldn't they? Is there any actual PROOF that our backs are slow? Or is it just another of the myths bandied about about Bradford? (too old, too many kiwis, no British players, etc)

I Dont think your backs are slow. I do think (and i suppose this could be said about any player) that there is great improvement in them. As a whole unit they seemed to be a little uncreative at the start of the season. Deacon seemed very much a five drives and a kick player on the whole and Jefferies started off hit and miss although he seems recently to be trying his heart out.
Tadulala seems to look for work, coming in often and had a stormer yesterday IMO.
Sheriffe wasn't getting the service at the start of the season and again yesterday he seemed comfortable. I thought he saved a few tries when your sliding defence maybe wasn't sliding across as well as it could have done.
Halley is unproven for me this season but he's not done anything outstanding, I hope he'll come good.
Was good to see Platt have a good game, whats annoying about him is he is very capable but at the start of the season he wasn't performing. He had a tendacy to run across a field rather than up and down it, but yesterday proved he is a good FB. Bit of time now and he'll be back on form. Hopefully he'll recreate his World Cup form for you.
Calling the backs slow though I think is unfair. They've even over ran a few balls at Odsal this year. Analysis over.
Terry can teach him to be hard again. He's obviously spending too much time with all these soft cock Wigan players like Hock, O Brother in law where art thou, and the big fat bloke who makes Solomona look a size zero.
Fielden at the right price would be an asset. he has changed his game. When he was at his "best" he missed as many tackles as he made and his role was simply making yarsd and the odd big hit in defence.
Watch him next time the pies are on sky. His workrate is still very high and he places much more emphasis on defence, an area that we desperately need to improve. he wouls make up a great first four with Lynch, Burgess and Scruton, and Koppy and james can be the squaddies. that would be good.....at the right price.
