Do you not feel the plan b story is the buyer and administrator trying to strong arm the RFL?

I really hate reading that a buyer wants to buy the ground and 'turn it into a stadium'. What's it been operating as up to now?

If Chalmers & Lowe insist that Buying the ground is a pre requisite then the whole shebang could take a lot of time.

We have a tenant, sub Landlord (RFL) & an Owner (BCC) & the Owner could take months before agreeing a price/deal.

Surely there could be a bit of short term common sense used here as lives & jobs at stake.

So much of this doesn't add up.

Mick goes on about this bidder being backed by Green yet the T&A say it's the New Zealand group headed by Chalmers who made a late bid after the administrator's deadline. Frank reckons the bid has been on the table from day 1 - so not Chalmers then?

Someone's got their facts mixed up somewhere and it's probably me.

Anyway. The quote from the administrator about redundancy isn't good at all. That sounds like things have reached an impasse.

Wonder if Lamb or Irvine will come into the picture again?

Meanwhile it's likely we'll start to lose staff and players the longer this wears on as there won't be money to pay them.

:-(

I equated these two lines as linked to be honest. I would assume the reason he's talking about redundancy is that they won't be able to pay everyone. If it goes past pay day, then rather make them redundant than have to pay people again from an empty pot.

The first time around there was a load of redundancies too in order to cut the wage bill, although quite a few of those ended up getting their jobs back afterwards.

If the RFL had not got their hands on the lease through Greens ineptness! (their considered choice)..Under the circumstances, it did Green a favour, but destabalised the Club further. The timing of all this for the players and staff is dire whatever the outcome. This is now a test of resolve for all involved, let's hope for some fair conciliation from all parties.

I can accept failure, but I can't accept not trying.
