TBF, calling it as it is is generally frowned upon by a few on here. There are a few ostriches amongst the Bradford support, hence why being honest about the situation is usually dismissed as "trolling" or "bitterness."
The simple fact is that we have, as a club, at very best, acted appallingly for years, spending money we don't have, shafting local businesses who may well have gone bust due to business contracts with the club that do not get honoured (and the token 5p in the pound will hardly help). Local businesses that are not granted a session in parliament to be saved!
Add to that the lies, shocking treatment of staff and players and the fact that we have fundamentally failed to learn our lessons for the third time now is perhaps one of the reasons why some fans of other clubs are, quite rightly, lacking in too much sympathy.
Our membership of the RFL is the same as everyone elses' and we should NOT get preferential treatment in the slightest. I want the club to survive but inb the right way.
I concede that there have been bad decisions from the RFL that have hardly helped our progress but we are where we are due to years of neglect, mismanagement and the leadership of a succession of "dodgy geezers." We need to get our own house in order first.
But Mr. Green, presumably one of your dodgy geezers, was given the gig ahead of others offering more, and was approved by RFL as a fit and proper person to run it. I didn't pick him. "We" didn't pick him. The then administrator and the RFL picked him.
"We" can't get our own house in order. "We", the poor old fans (who stump up and stump up, including a one-off £1/2m, (and I recognize that included plenty from fans of the game as well as fans of the Bulls) have no say, no say at all, in who runs the club or who buys the club.
And, we have to keep moving house. After each administration there's a new house. What the fsck can I, as a fan, do to keep that house in order? If you accept that the answer is "nothing" then why do you keep having a go at the fans? When you say "we" you (obviously) include yourself, so give me an example of what YOU have ever done to "put our house in order"? Nothing! Not because you might not like to, but because you are as powerless as I am to do anything about any of it. So pack it in with the "we", will you?
To say "we" haven't "learned our lessons" is to talk oblique nonsense. If one owner came close to bust but salvaged it, and stayed in charge, then you might at least say
he failed to learn the lesson if it went tits. But that's not the case. There has been no continuity between owners, each new owner has been a brand new entity.
The fact is, the succession of major financial fsckups is down to the succession of owners who let it happen on their watch. The fans have gone above and beyond on each occasion but they have no say, no control and so no responsibility. So "we" haven't failed at all.
