Its quite amazing the different things people read into 'statements'. My take on the latest is that no progress has been made but they promised a statement. Odsal has nothing to do with the job of the administrator as it is nothing to do with Bradford Bulls Northern Ltd or whatever the holding company is called. I noticed the administrator repeated the bit about the parties concerned being up for fan involvement on the board for transparency. That is the only positive statement made by the administrator (again and again) as he knows it keeps you all a little quieter. I know this is all a little cynical, but no deadline stated has yet been met.
To the bidders, why not ensure the continuation of Bradford Bulls first and then sort out the lease unless of course they have something in mind. If the RFL won't let it go some of you will be accusing the RFL of killing Bradford Bulls.
Thinking about what it could cost a bidder over the next 12 months is quite scary, especially if you include the lease at what the RFL paid for it (1.25M). Debts, with the most recent figure placed at 1.6M. No more than 200K coming in from the RFL which may not come in at all if they are as rumoured paying December salaries. Then a FT or PT squad? I reckon a conservative estimate is between 3.5 and 4.5M. Off course they could delay or not pay the creditors at all, they could leave the lease as it is and as a result costs are significantly reduced.
Its been reported Mr BPA has a meeting with the council and the RFL (in a few weeks?), yet he has publicly stated he is not bidding to takeover the club.
Due to no deadlines having been met and the use of the word complex, I see nothing different. Complex because of the lease? Complex because Mr Green had more skeletons hidden in the closet? Complex because it sounds a good word to use?
Each day that passes takes the club closer to liquidation, or for the optimistic, closer to a sale. There really cannot be much cash left in the club accounts.
No one wants the Bulls to disappear, despite what some 'trolls' have perhaps stated.
