Leeds had every bit of luck tonight. In the 2nd half Wigan were just as good for a lot of it. Just didn't take chances really. A patched up Leeds side? Come off it.
Leeds are still the standard in Super league mind and Bradford are well off it.
Senior, Diskin and Buderus out.
Watkins, 18 yesterday, in centre.
No recognised hooker.
Kirke off injured early, Ali & Bailey off in 2nd half injured.
Webb played 1/2 a game
Wait till Leeds have a fully fit squad to pick from

i'd still hardly call it a patched up team. Watkins is a classy young centre. Don't miss senior as much as you used too.

We can improve over the last couple of matches , and will do so.
There are a number of quality players who will lift their game in the coming weeks,: of this i have no doubt.
I do not don rose colored glasses for this opinion. nor shoud I fall foul of undue optimism.
The impovements will come.
If we win Sunday, SM gets a breather, if we win a couple of the coming games, SM job is safer.
Where will that get us in the long run ? A few wins, maybe a place in the play offs ?
Is that what Bradford wants ?
No offence against Mcnamara on a personal level, but I don't think he is capable of taking a team towards any silverware.
I've always supported the British coaches, but in all honesty, we ain't really producing many of them are we. OK Nobby was an exception, but take him out of the equation, who are the other coaches to win silverware ?
As much as it pains me to say this, but I think we need to lose a few more games, for those at the top to actually do something.
Or do we hang on to what we got (No Manilow pun intended) and accept that our days of reigning are over for now ?
If you look at our next few games, where can you honestly say we can pick up what used to be 'easy points'?
Hull FC, Catalan, Cas, Catalan, Leeds - 3 teams that have started well and a Catalan side that even though they haven't won at home yet, wouldn't it be 'the typical bradford story' of Greg Bird showing us what we are missing out on.
The worst case scenario is that why easter, we could well only have 1 point and out of the cup - would the board then take action?
I don't think this is a case of not being positive and getting behind the team, I am just hoping the board has a plan B, if not, we may be in serious trouble!

If we start winning, this is a bad thing.
Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight.
If we win every week, and win all comps, I'd suggest his job would be even safer still.
Haven't you got the cart completely the wrong side of the horse?
This view reminds me a lot of some big soccer club just a few weeks ago who were after acquiring the services of some big name manager - his present charges were losing all the time, and he was at or even past the dreaded 'vote of confidence stage'. His prospective new employers actually said that they hoped his team lost again for a week or two, meaning so he would be sacked and they could then sign up this shining beacon of managership!

No of course it's not a bad thing
What I'm trying to say is that, based on the last couple of years, I don't feel as confident in Mcnamara, as I did when he first took over the role.
How much will the club as a whole put up with the kind of results that Bradford are churning out ?
I know we're only a few games into the season, but the way our season has kicked off, it doesn't look too promising. I've thought over the last couple of seasons, on the lines that Mcnamara is building his team, and I appreciate it isn't always going to be plain sailing.
I'm not trying to sound negative, at the same time, I don't wanna be sticking my head in the sand and hide away from the reality that is happening.
Here's hoping that things do change and that the team become much stronger over the next few months
