To be right, the council, as landowner, can add in, or pull out, as much as it wants to get the best price - as I'd assume that would be fairly high on the agenda. They could, for instance, pull out sufficient ground to make a decent rugby ground and thereby keep their promise about keeping it for sport - and still sell off a lot more ground for whatever gets the best deal. I guess with the government hammering the local authorities they will have various uses for whatever they can get their hands on.

I tried counting the amount of Greggs within a mile from the city centre once and I nearly hit double figures. Perhaps making them less frequent would encourage the exercise to earn that steak bake.

Owning the ground on all three sites can only be a winner for the Council.Sell off Odsal for 'sharing' and development and then sell off Horsfall and RD Centre for other redev.
