No you shouldn't. An average side, just like Wigan. You have no divine right to win games. They have to be earnt. Teams like Cas, Huddersfield, Wakefield, Quins are just as capable as any other side in the league.

I honestly think we've got a good enough side for a top 4 finish. The prob is the way we are playing. Running the wrong lines, standing far too deep on the 2nd phase etc etc. We need someone to change the way players are told to play. We have some class who know how to play the game, but for some reason they are bing told to do it wrong!

I bet the side could coach itself (deacon, newton, the beaver, morrison). Would it be any worse??

What's with 'school teacher' being used as a pejorative term? :)

"It hurts like hell," said McNamara. "I won't deny that. I'm desperately disappointed with the performance. In the first two games there was a whole host of encouraging signs but this is a big setback.

"We were way off tonight. It was one of those nights where everything went wrong. We were poor in every department. There is a lot for us to look at and fix up.

"The Grand Final is a million miles away at the minute from where we're at now and it seems a millions miles away.

"But I've been involved in sides before where got backsides kicked by bigger scorelines than that and come back and won competitions.

Just watched the game on repeat on Aus TV now, suspected the worst when they scored on the half so had a look on here and had the worst confirmed.

We look toothless, no doubt about that. Discipline that had been praised in the past few weeks seems have gone backwards, though we got some pretty harsh calls.

I think that was a pretty decent Wigan performance that would probably have seen of most sides in the league, albeit not by 34 points. It was a thumping of the sort most sides suffer every now and then but we've generally avoided in the McNamara era.

What do we do about it? It would be nice to think we could take simple and swift action to change things for the better. I am still to be convinced as too whether this is the case. The majority on here don't seem to care too much about the consequences. They want McNamara sacked as vengance for performances such as last night's and then... what? Still there are no answers and while that remains the case I see no reason to change my position.

Now I have no doubt that this isn't good enough for people, they're unhappy and they want blood. But blood didn't make the sun rise for the Aztecs and I don't see blood improving things at Odsal.

BTW, Saints winning 4 nil at Celtic and Catalans losing a second home game despite featuring you-know-who suggests this league has yet to really settle down...

Yeah, me 5+ years ago.

You finally got something right! Well done!

That was a terrible performance by Bradford tonight, but the man who needs the most chastising isn't Macca... Sykes cost you so much field position, and gave away so many critical penalties, he was an utter liability for you. It just seemed like everything was going to go wrong for you, and when your players started getting injured, it was actually quite unpleasant to see. Hope Platt, Godwin and Newton aren't long term injuries, and I'm sure you don't too, three of your best (and most motivated) players there...

Burgess was like a revolving door... what went wrong there?

I don't get it you seem to try and cover up Bradford's problems by bringing up needless points about other teams. I couldn't giving a dam about Saints, Catalans or whoever what I'm bothered about is Bradford. A Bradford side that's had it's worst start to a super league season. Hasn't won a game against anyone except Hull KR, Hull FC, Wakefield or Castleford since round 12 last year. Or a side that's won only 4 of it's last 16 away games. These are the things that bother me not that Saints might have won by only 4 points.

That's a big concern. I'm not denying that. What's your suggested course of action?

I do honestly think it is a time for change. If that means replacing McNamara or bringing some one over his head to a DOR role then so be it.
