Who the hell would have him?

At best, I could see him being sent out to a Championship 1 side on dual-reg, with explicit instructions that he has to play 30-40 minutes and get some fitness

He did actually play in the pre-season game against Cas - and played for most of the game. Strangely he looked a bit more effective than he had previously, so I'd suspect 'fitness' wasn't really the problem. Truth is, he's no longer the "wrecking ball", and he just isn't in our most effective five or six props.

True, but that was against Cas' kids. If a full grown adult professional can't bash a junior team around then he shouldn't be playing in the first place.

I honestly think that, unless we've a serious injury crisis, we'll not see Lauaki make the team again.

All we can do is send him out to a place he doesn't want to be so that he decides to take a small pay off to leave. There are ways of persuading players to leave.

Do we have dual reg' with anyone this year? I notice Oxford are now with Cas'.

I sincerely hope so - unless the management thought we would need 34 players for every round this season!

You can still do loan deals without a dual reg in place, see Richard Whiting going to Leigh. In fact that's probably better in our situation because some (or all) of the salary would be paid by the other club.

What I don't understand is how you can be unfit if you're training everyday?

To be honest, I suspect his wages will be a big deal breaker amongst the clubs who we might think would want to take him on.
