I'd drop Jefferies before Deacon. Another major disappointment this year.
From what I've seen & heard Jeffries has been Bradford's best back (with Nero) this season. He stuffs Deacon on Try assists, Meters gained 272 (nearly 200 more), Carries, Offloads & Tackle Busts. Though I suppose if you expect that standard from Deacon you are not going to be disappointed.

Jeffries usually manages 2 or 3 breaks every match which might make his stats look good. But he does very little to bring other players into the game or to contribute to the overall team performance. He never seems to take on responsibility for directing the Bulls on attack. Deacon isnt doing that job at all well at the moment but at least he's tryiing to shoulder some responsibility. Jeffries just plays his own game, almost detached from the rest of the team.

it's great that he's making the breaks but what comes of it if no-one backs up?
Who should be shouldering the responsibility for backing him up? IMO platt should be clever enough to know where to run to potentially collect an offload.

Not a chance has been our best back.
He has been very poor. Consistant though, consistantly poor.

TBF if he'd ran on from the bench to do that, we'd have been penalised for having 14 men on the field, wouldn't we?
The guy has to be dropped now. Too slow, creates nothing and even his kicking game is poor now. Mcnamara stated at the beginning of the seaon that players would be picked on merit so stand by your words and drop Deacon!
Why not try Jeffries and Menzies at half back we cant get any worse.
Should have been 'dropped' five years ago, I would rather have kept Robbie to be honest. I was hoping beyond hope Noble would take him to Wigan but never happened.
How do you mean his kicking game is poor NOW?? He has been kicking down opposition full backs throats for about four seasons. If there were only one opposition player in their half of the field, and oceans of open space to find, Deacon would find the man EVERY TIME.

Useless.
This explains why we've been well up near the top of the tree for all those years, then, and Deacon at or near the top of every kick stats list there is. But I'm sure the league tables and the records are all wrong, and you are right.
