The new young dynasty of super saints is coming to a ground near you.
Welsby-Dodd-Simms-Eaves-Rizzelli, not Eastmond...the future is coming.

Saints v Salford Post Game : Sat May 14, 2016 6:36 am
Slight improvement in defence at the expense of an error ridden attack I thought, we bombed a few chances with bad options and dropped passes I thought. KC said it was a very good performance, I'm not too sure.

This bad kicking on the 3rd tackle appeared again, is it some sort of surprise tactic for the opposition.

Match report and stats below.

We can be bold enough to make a stand and do battle for our views and beliefs. But we must strive to be mature enough not to resort to unnecessary personal attacks upon people with opposing views.

Re: Saints v Salford Post Game : Sat May 14, 2016 8:33 am
I could not go to this one but from the lack of responses about the match and a solo thread about a possible injury it's probably safe to assume we played well.

You tend to get a 5 or 6 page thread after we play badly and a few comments after a decent game.

Not sure when the last 5 or 6 page thread just after a match was?

Saints v Hull

St Helens v Catalans Dragons

Well that was ugly (Hull game again)

Basically look for any loss in the records books

Not really, we were just a bit better than a poor performing Salford team.

Has Sav been injured, he never got going yesterday and didn,t seem to show any urgency to claim a place in the next 17. Thought Walmsley was our best forward but Salfords pack was nowhere near the quality of the Hull pack last week.

I think hull have one of the best packs in the league, but Salfords table position is not a reflection of their ability.

They are a decent attacking side. Carney is a winger we all were hoping we'd sign.

Just got a match report from my family who went and it seems like we did our homework on their players lots of tackling their players around the legs rather than trying to hit the chest and bounce off.

Peyroux got a decent report, as did Owens when he had to fill in for lomax.

Re: Saints v Salford Post Game : Sat May 14, 2016 10:35 pm
There aren't as many responses obviously, because there wasn't that much to comment on. Like online shopping reviews, the majority of those motivated to respond are at the extremes of unhappy and happy. We won so no one is extremely unhappy, but we certainly didn't play well either, so no one is going to be too impressed.

It was a typical Saints performance in the Langtree Park era. We built a decent lead, then seemed to go really, really flat. On the hour mark Salford had brought it back to 22-20 with multiple tries coming in a very worrying period where it looked like we were in complete and utter disarray. They were making breaks at will in that period and we got very lucky with a penalty then Theo's try stemming that tide. They then lost their composure and it got very messy.

Who mentioned Owens having a decent game? Utter nonsense. I'd love to know why he continues to be selected. Lazy, slow, scared of contact, poor under the high ball, can't tackle one on one. He did absolutely nothing of note again.

The positives? The fact we didn't completely collapse must be one I guess. LMS again was by far our best player. He's been outstanding this season and was again yesterday. Peyroux actually looked like a competent professional player in the second row. I think, like Sia, we'll see him there for the majority of his time here now if that performance is anything to go by. I still think he'd been roadkill against a Wigan/Warrington/Catalans/Hull pack but definitely better than at centre.
