Will being without the mercurial talents of Shenton qualify as a good enough excuse for losing do you reckon?
Interesting...think Flanno will slot in at centre and would be harsh to drop Meli or Makinson with their recent form for Gardner in all fairness. Think I would be tempted to go with:
Wellens Makinson Flannery Jones Meli Hohaia Lomax Perry Roby Boof Puletua Flanagan Wilkin
Soliola (massive impact from bench around 15 - 20 mins) LMS Clough Dixon

Really can't see Flannery playing centre. Rush doesn't seem scared of playing younger players, it'll be Jones and Wheeler, or if not Meli at centre with Ade on the wing. Really can't see him putting Flannery there. Wouldn't surprise me if Flanno took Dixon's bench spot though.
[quote='Fishsta"']I've always thought of McGuire as a good player, and I wouldn't normally wish injury on any player, but there was a certain hint of poetic justice to that.

Another classic:
[quote='Fishsta']You forgot to take off the "Saints Reduction Factor" when calculating the ban.
Standard suspension / Saints Reduction Factor = Actual ban for Saints player.
Therefore (2 / 3) = 0.666
0.666 < 1 therefore actual ban equals "less than 1 match".
Barring injury, if Flannery replaces anyone from two weeks ago it will be a travesty.
But he is a State of Origin player and does the little things that nobody notices.
Wouldn't be surprised to see him displace Dixon.
Think Dixon deserves to keep his spot.
Flannery bar a couple of decent games as a makeshift centre three years ago has been pinching a living from Saints since he limped in to replace Hooper.
Can't understand the lover affair respective coaches have had with him.
