Another Positive, North Stand turnstile farce resolved : Tue Mar 13, 2012 9:28 am  

At Fridays game there were huge queues at T25-28 in the North stand but hardly any at T21-24.
People were having to queue in and around the vehicles parked in the disabled bays.

My season ticket would only allow me access via T25-28 and not T21-24 even though they are in the same stand! I understand segregating between stands, but segregating between the same stand?

I emailed the club about this and am happy to say that I got a reply saying that from the next home game, North stand ticket holders can use any turnstile in the North stand.

Common sense prevails!

I think you were the guy who last year did the fantastic 3D versions of the Saints Crest that you could use as wallpapers? If I am right, and being cheeky, are you planning to do new ones with the revised badges?

You impatient, selfish barstewards. You chose where you were going to sit, so no you should queue up for that.

Now I've got to wait twenty minutes to get into the ground because the filth from the other turnstiles will be infesting my turnstile?

Hooray.

About time too.
There are basically twice as many fans going through the North West turnstile as North East on a normal match day.

For example blocks A, B, C, D, and E are expected to go through the North west entrance
Yet the North East only deals with people in blocks F, G, H and I. Now this doesnt look like much of a difference, however on a normal matchday crowd blocks B through to G sell out. This means that there are 4 blocks worth of fans going through the North West turnstile and only two blocks worth going through the North East.

I will also add that I sit closer to the East stand than the West yet am expected to go through the North West turnstile. So clearly there can never be a 50/50 split even accounting for a sell out of the North stand.

Hopefully for the Leeds match it will be a case of quickly entering through the North East turnstile then getting a pint then going up to my seats in the North Eastern part of the ground, rather than as now walking upto the North West corner, then walking all the way down to the North East corner to get a pint and go to my seat.

I did say on Friday that they'll sort this soon and they have. Have faith in Saints management. They are responsive and know what they're doing.

They're two years and counting on solving the ongoing fullback issue.

Funnily enough, I saw on Twitter a tweet from Kilmurray at the Star to say that the soccer match tonight had been put back by 15 minutes because of long queues at the turnstiles!

It would seem that Saints might not have sorted out the turnstile problems.
