Percival may be young inexperienced and just back from injury. Doesn't make him any less responsible for making tackles and correct reads when on the pitch. If he wasn't capable of making the correct decisions he shouldn't be in the side.

Notice no mention of Walsh. They were just 2 examples, I bet if I put myself through watching that again, I could find an example of everyone in the team poor arm grabbing instead of tackling.

That's my point. Let's not scapegoat here. It's a whole team problem.

The only defence I'd offer to the Walsh point is that he is clearly injured. His arm is buggered, and that was why he was such a shadow of his prior self today.

But the point stands that our defence out wide is very poor. It's simply not good enough when we come up against a team with decent threequarters like Wigan or Leeds. That's a coaching issue as well as a selection one.

We can be bold enough to make a stand and do battle for our views and beliefs. But we must strive to be mature enough not to resort to unnecessary personal attacks upon people with opposing views.

Walsh was so injured and Leeds knew it.

They did what Davis said and ran at him. Whilst plenty where giving big wraps to Hall for that try creating run. The big call for him was to run at Walsh. Walsh had to back off he just could not tackle.

Turner I'd have no problem dropping now Percival is back.
LMS: It was said he needed to be in the second row as he was not a prop. Well sorry he got to play backrow today and for me was no better than he was in the front row.

I had concerns about Lms playing second row due to his lack of effort in defence. Tackling on the edges is much harder than tackling in the middle and I had serious doubts.

Today he was grabbing and not putting his shoulder in, he must have been knocked off a good 5 times today from his grabbing.

IMO if he can't play prop, can't play second row then he shouldn't play full stop.

7th overall in the tackle count at saints this season, top tackler last season is lack of effort? His technique is dire at the moment, and he's woefully out of form, but I don't think it's lack of effort, just not being very good!

He's same sort of size as Amor but Amor runs above his weight as he has a thing called heart. Heart is something LMS lacks seriously.

In fact, I'm now going to call him the "Tin man" from the wizard of oz.

If your top tacklers are in the pack. Then being 7th is not much to shout about.
Then if you take it that some props are there for their go forward. That makes it even worse.

Is he a tackler? A person to punch holes? 7th top tackler and picked for most of our games.

Those behind him have played less games so total tackles does not really count if you are getting picked more than others. If you want a tackler play Flanagan. He's only 60 behind and only played 3 games.

Then again Flanaghan offers nothing with the ball. Seems to be an occurring thing with our forwards.

Only laffranchi (181) is ahead of lms (161) props wise? Walmsley (142) and Amor (120) are behind him ... Of course they offer 100x more on the ball...

Players not putting effort in don't make top 10 tacklers. Hence it's his ability, not application that should be in question

Slightly missing my point and maybe should have put it better.

Lms is a show pony, he's a big time Charlie, he walks around like he's got rolls of carpet under each arm. He's great against the lesser teams, he will run hard against small packs but put him up against a Wigan or Leeds type team and might as well forget it.

Watch the game back today, ask your self if those grabs was a player that was putting the effort in. Ask yourself who's name sprung to mind when he said "certain players ain't putting it in" ?

LMS has his new contract so he won't be going anywhere fast. Same for Wilkin.
