| Personally I prefer Friday night rugby. Although I do agree with Rogues that when playing Clubs where fans have a distance to travel it makes more sense to have those games on a Sunday.
I do like the fact though that our games being on a Friday night means the chances of home games being moved for Sky are less!

| The question is how many extra fans would a sunday pull in and would it compensate for the loss of home fans?
I understand the liking for away fans on a sunday. But home fans playing on a Friday means that you have the whole weekend free. A friday night probably has least impact on home fans in terms of oppertunity for attendance. Work. Food. Kids if you have young uns to bed. If not time for a pint and then down to the match. Still leaving time left after the match for a night out.
I also think Saints took into account corporate when switching to a friday. Getting corporate there on a friday after work is easier than getting people in on the two days off.

| I think Friday night games before May are largely horrendous. We move to summer to take advantage of the better weather and then play our games in the dark on a Friday night. It means the kids turn up for the games half asleep and you sit there freezing yourself to death.
The new stadium is going to be a weird experience. I will not be going to any friendlies so the first game will be on a Friday in early February no doubt. Cold, wet and dark. Brrrr.

| Friday nights for me, and given some of the attendances of recent Sunday games, most other Saints fans too.

| Definately Fridays for me, finish work (and whilst it can sometimes be a pain crossing pennines on M62 Fridays at 5pm) go watch Saints and then the rest of the weekend is free to do whatever I want to. Sundays would be a bad move imo
