Great effort from the forwards and really took it to them. Saints back line underperformed today but I believe that is because they didn't have their usual platform to work off. Today proves that Saints are not unbeatable, that we have the core of a good side building. We have a way to go but praise to Agar for achieving a close game today when I and most of the people I have spoken too were predicting a cricket score against

Edit: Credit to Dwyer, played out of his skin today and dragged us back into the game, even though I'm not his biggest fan

Dwyer was excellent and credit to the coaching staff for using the teo hookers effectively.

One of the biggest issues ive had over the last few years is the lack of effort and no togetherness and you have to give Agar and Sinfield credit for turning that around

The Tetevano red card may have technically been correct bit where is the common sense? A) I’ve seen plenty of those this season unpunished (certainly not with red cards), B) for me that’s a 10 minute sin bin offence all day long.

Anyway as others have said, you can’t fault what Agar has done with Leeds in terms of grit and team spirit since he took over a demoralised bunch.

Tetevano was committed to the tackle. Sin bin sufficient for mine.

director of football role never seems to work but kev seems to get a lot of credit is that because agar semi temporary can't imagine characters such as wane working hand in hand

According to Wane, 2 backrowers playing 6 and 7 have no excuse for poor last tackle kicks.

A bit surprised we didn't see more replays of the Vuniyayawa KO, since it was a game changing moment. It looked to me like Paasi *could* have been leading with a forearm... Probably not, but Sky would have at least shown a few more replays, especially when the play was paused for ages.

Overall disappointed with the quality of BBC coverage. Sick of seeing Jon Wilkin on every time Leeds play, although it was amusing that he didn't like the BBC showing brief highlights of the various Sts GF losses against us... He's still evidently got a huge chip on his shoulder about it :-)

For all Wane's hard line stance on players making errors, IIRC he was hardly a shining example as a player himself, esp. in a Leeds shirt. I'd like to see what he would have done if forced to play in the halves on the 5th tackle as well! IMO he's a throw back to a forgotten era and I'd rather not welcome him with open arms to Headingley. Sport is about entertainment as well as results.

Wane might have a point. You'd expect poor execution of the last tackle plays. Unfortunately the decision making that went with them was too. For me, that's a big weakness in our attacking game. Were the likes of gale and lui to show a bit more nous it might well rub off on their understudies a bit. I can see why Long was hired, hopefully when players return we begin to see the benefits

Wane explicitly said last tackle kicks.

with 2 extra backs kicking we'd have had 2 less forwards tackling and may have had the expected hammering

Slightly off topic but aren`t we blessed listening to the way Wane, Kear and JJB speak.
And John Wilkin trying to be a smart ar$e.
Then we have the TV presenter pulling out the balls for the home and away teams for one of our showpiece trophies.
No wonder the game never progresses.
