RD 15 | Leeds Rhinos v Warrington Wolves : Mon May 22, 2017 11:41 am
Big performance needed after the second half yesterday. Worries me slightly without Galloway, hopefully Garbutt returns. We cannot go with a back on the bench again.

Golding
Briscoe Watkins Sutcliffe Hall
McGuire Moon
Singleton Parcell Cuthbertson
Ward Ferres

Looks about right. This game may indicate just what shape we are really in looking forward to the run in to the playoffs.

I wouldn't. If you are going to play him then play him at fullback and Golding on the wing.

Re: RD 15 | Leeds Rhinos v Warrington Wolves : Mon May 22, 2017 3:23 pm
The big issue is right wing. I think Handley's inclusion on the bench yesterday was purely to replace Briscoe if needed given how quickly it happened in the match which would suggest pre existing concern over Briscoe's involvement.

Briscoe's head just hasnt seem focused at all this year and I don't say that in a way to slate him off, more a concern as we heard with things like Mentality and what Hardaker was going through 12 months ago that we don't know what players are going through away from the pitch but I honestly think there's more to Briscoe than just pure bad form. I remember Wakey scoring a simple try in his corner on Boxing Day and I was right in that corner and whilst you could say "oh it was just a friendly"....there was truely something that struck me about his body language that's stuck in my head. Very similar happened week 2 vs Leigh.

I think the guy needs taking out of the first team picture for while, I know that leaves a problem because of Handley's form too but I really think Briscoe shouldn't be on a rugby pitch right now.

agree regarding the right wing situation, give walker a run did not look out of depth at fullback so should be steady enough on the wing, gets valuable first team experience, and i'd rather a young lad given a chance and make the odd mistake than a 4 year pro like handley who still cannot defend or catch a ball. and briscoe can be class but not seen it since wembley/2015

It's up to Brian Mac to sort out the briscoe problem. Unfortunately it's obvious at the moment he is not willing or capable of dealing with the situation.

If Walker's on the wing expect a barrage of cross field kicks towards his corner, and I can only see Lineham and Atkins coming out on top in that contest. Unfortunately I wouldn't back Briscoe or Handley in that situation either at the moment, though I would be inclined to stick with Briscoe and back him to come good.

Re: RD 15 | Leeds Rhinos v Warrington Wolves : Mon May 22, 2017 6:29 pm
For me there are more issues than just the wing that right side. Of course that is a major one but we generally look like we have no communication going on at all and leave ourselves exposed or out numbered with general ease. I would be inclined to stick with Briscoe and show some faith but he needs a kick up his aris he is better than this. Handley i still think could be a good player down the line but looks shot to pieces at SL level. He needs to take a step back and perhaps go out on loan into the championship and work his way back, he has lets not forget, just turned 21 despite his experience.
