Like birthday cards, birthday threads are only of interest to the person who's birthday it is, and once everyone has said happy birthday then, erm, thats it isn't it ?

Or do you keep your birthday cards up at the window for a month afterwards ?

Of course I took it that step further and hoarded my 18th birthday cards in a box for the future generations to see. I believe that was the start of bad habits that going to leave me with a flat full of history that doesn’t pass as Christies auction material if I do happen to live till I’m 80.
