To be honest, fair enough from my perspective. He's acknowledged mistakes and tacitly admitted his own culpability in them. I doubt he'd be so bullish if we didn't have some big stuff to announce. I would be fascinated to know -and the reporter should have asked - if any of the three marquee spots had been filled by players already announced by or currently at the club. If not, I think we have reason to be quite excited.

Yep, it's a good story, but it's 3/4's of a good story. If I were his editor I'd have kicked his backside and told him to get GH back on the line to clarify. Even a "Hetherington declined to comment on" would have been better than leaving it hanging.

Powell is a solid signing if we have 3 marquee still to join!
Seem to recall Sharky saying 4 incoming including a British forward. One big unexpected name plus potentially Abdul or another half and then a centre. If that's true then potentially still 3 marquee to be announced. It looks as though we are looking at players currently contracted elsewhere.
