Agree I don't think we have a player in that category to make the saving but any player can be designated marquee it does not have to be your highest earner.
Only 2 marquee players can be Overseas the third must be either club trained (50k cost) or federation trained (75k cost) So for example if Newman is highest paid club trained player we only pay 50k on cap for him. If we signed George Williams he would count 75k on cap.
Any overseas signing that is marquee counts 150k.
As such if you can have a scenario where your marquee players are British and ideally club trained your cap space goes further squad wise.
