the full backs, and strjuik are thd issue, plus being overrun in midfield.
back 3 of cooper, koch and wober.
rasmus and firpo wingbacks.

midfield 3 of mckennie, gyabi and roca with gnoto playing off rodrigo. much more solid.

aaronson offers absolutely nothing and why gnonto isn't getting a start god only knows.
let's also acknowledge how good liverpool were after, yet another, outrageous VAR decision.

Agree with everything that has been said re last nights game.
And I would add that I would be taking Messlier out of the firing line.
Yet another good prospect and I`m sure he will go onto better things.
But for me this season he hasn`t been worth his place.
If we are wanting "projects" we should have kept Drameh, Cresswell and Hjede instead of sending them out on loan.
Stop picking Messlier, Ayling, Struijk, Firpo, Aaronssen, Rutter and Bamford.
Stop playing 2 in the middle as both McKennie and Rocca need a Tyler Adams to do the running about as neither of them can play that role.
Play Rodrigo and Gnonto from the start and I would also think about Forshaw if he is fit enough.
Stay solid at the back and when 3 goals behind do not go out to try and score.
Shut up shop and try not to concede any more.

Agree with all of this Tad. They’re getting overrun in midfield at at left back and right back against the better teams. Having said that we got good performances against wolves and Forrest with the current set up so it can work.

Overall I’m sick of this garbage though and what we’re witnessing is Ortas legacy coming to a head. The defence needed major improvements at the end of the first season up and it has been neglected. Absolutely shambolic recruitment strategy. Only about 30% of the signings in last 2 seasons have been good additions. Raphinha, Gnonto, Wober (should have been signed in the summer), Sinesterra, and that’s about it.

Just praying we’ve enough to stay up and reset in the summer. Lucky for us I think the bottom 3 looks in trouble too plus Everton. But performances like the last 2 will have given all the teams around us a boost.

Good points.
in ortas defence he only buys what the managers agree with.
left back for example he gave bielsa 5 options he thought were good. bielsa chose firpo.
it's not all orta. rutter is the odd one. we needed a striker for now and not 3 years time. mckennie gets hammered but they are over run in there.
Southampton are about gone. Leicesters next 2 are wolves and us. lose them and they are gone.
everton and West ham ham have awful run ins. we need points next 3 games though

I feel like Rutter gets a lot of unfair stick just because of his price tag. He didnt ask to be sold for that much and he only seems to get brought on the pitch when the game has gone, what was he meant to do against Liverpool when we were starved of the ball? Like others have said, i agree, we shouldnt have bought him.

Hopefully Wober starts on Saturday with Koch, I thought Koch seemed pretty solid in the first half but its hard when the rest of the defence plays shocking.

I cant understand why he isnt giving Gnonto more minutes or a start, maybe hes not fully fit?

Games against Leicester, Bournemouth and West Ham are must wins and the hope Spurs have no chance of a CL place last game of the season.
Play like we have done the last 2 games and we are down.
Pick the same players in the hope they come good and we are in trouble imo.
I`m no Cooper fan but he has got to be better than both Struijk and Firpo and Wober needs to play LB if Cooper plays .

I wouldn't play cooper.
wober much more influential at CB. organises much better too.
I think 2 wins might well be enough

Yes fair points Tad. There’s no doubt Marsch and Bielsa made judgemental mistakes on players especially Marsch. I still believe though Orta is ultimately responsible.

7 points more and I think we’re safe. 9 to guarantee

Agree on Rutter. He was good against Fulham in the cup, very unlucky not to get 2 goals. He’s a good player and will become very good imo. He’s just come in at the wrong time. We’ve not got the luxury to give him major minutes to get the rust off him.

I agree that 2 wins may be enough. With a few draws elsewhere. We have been poop these last 2 games, but with our destiny in our own hands and points on the board, and no one below is on any sort of form all is not lost, but in typical Leeds fashion we've not made it easy for ourselves
