Its a total myhth.I reckon since GH took over we have paid out more in transfer fee than any other club.

I would probably agree that Clune was not the answer and we may or may not have made him a offer. It is another half gone from the very small list of out of contract ones that are available and we still need a minimum of two.
Hope there is a plan and Gary's dusting off his chequebook!

I reckon Huddersfield have given Clune the money they have saved from Fages, as he was on a big wage.

What winds me up, is that whenever someone leaves Huddersfield, Ian Watson moans that they couldn't match the offer the player has received elsewhere. Yet, when they sign players its because the player wants to play for Huddersfield and it isn't to do with money!

Yes. I suspect Hudds have offered him a marquee spot. From a Leeds point of view I'd hope firm targets for our marquee spots have been identified.

Pele looks a good signing for you and the sort of player I would like Leeds to sign.
I would have thought Smith with his involvement in the NRL`s second string he could find someone similar.

The only way Clune would have made sense would be to buy time for Sinfield to develop, or to play alongside someone else who can really make a difference.

The fact that the usually Leeds-friendly media are saying the club needs to go big to me signals that, as shown on this forum, the mood has changed. Times are tough, and people want excitement and entertainment from sport, not just plodding along with vague promises about how good we'll be in five years when all the kids develop. There's no sense of excitement or anticipation about the club, for me at least. I really hope there are some impressive signings to come, because right now I'm struggling to maintain interest.

I hear you are sniffing round Mikey Lewis. However, for a UK 7 and 9 combo, I’d heartily recommend retaining Dwyer and putting Sutcliffe in at 7.
