Totally agree Lowes has to go as does the conditioning dept.
On the field i repeat we need a "Powell eque" cull if that means a tough year to bed the best jnrs & new signings/Coaches in then so be it.

Yep sometimes you have to be ruthless.

We’ve stood still on just about all fronts, hence why we’ve been caught up and surpassed.

We’ll see what happens at the end of the season with the review. I really hope they do it honestly and make sure we don’t repeat the same mistakes we SHOULD have learned in 2016.

It's not how much talent you've got, it's what you do with it that counts.

End of the season is too late to prepare for the next season, the review should be undertaken now and steps made to correct the situation so we get the right players/coaches for next year before someone else does...

It should have been, and still should be an Aussie. Lowes is not a poor coach at all, but the main point is the issue of moving on and new ideas. Lowes has been too involved in that previously, we need someone completely from the outside. That is the only way to go forward.

It is, and I wonder how, or whether, the presence of Sinny as DOR can be squared with it.

I fully agree with you on this. However would a top Aussie coach wish to work under a DOR. Anyone worth their salt will want full control, including recruitment, in which case Sinfield is an expensive supernumerary and possibly GH too.

Not sure this has been thought through well enough and smacks of a panic decision in order to get out of paying BMD anything.

Unless the rumour that GH is set to retire once the development is complete and Sinfield takes the job of CEO is true ?

Your job is to say to yourself on a job interview does the hiring manager likes me or not. If you aren't a particular manager's cup of tea, you haven't failed -- you've dodged a bullet.

Correct - I expect more of the same for 2019 with a big leap for 2020

Question is, will the floating paying punter be willing to wait that long? I think we all know the answer, especially if the Elland Road brigade finally get their act together...

If LUFC ever get their act together that will have a significant downside to the revenue/profitability of the Rhinos.

How? LUFC have still been getting great crowds despite being rubbish, and the Rhinos still manage to be profitable.

Reports in Wigan suggesting that Lam and his lad will be there in 2019, so perhaps that may increase the chances of Furner coaching Leeds next season.
