Likewise, agreed.

I'll not go as far as highly offended personally, but I don't like it and I don't like the general consensus that's it's disrespectful to not sing it. It doesn't represent a large proportion of society in this country yet is supposed to reflect national pride regardless of how outdated and irrelevant.

Agree with that, and personally really dislike it, but 'highly offended' is a step too far and typical of the current day snowflake culture.

Why didn’t Keinhorst sing the national Anthem ? I wouldn’t expect any of the Aussies to sing it, but for a lad that is born in Leeds and has spent 26 years of his life in his home city I find it a little disrespectful.

Maybe to Keinhorst not singing the Anthem is a political gesture ,he might be of the opinion the its the anthem of the ruling classes . There is controversy in USA about African American players kneeling for The Star Spangled Banner as a protest of what they feel is unfair treatment of their people by the state . Remember Tommy Smith in the 1968 Olympics .

For me Sutcliffe was ok as was Hall and Watkins nothing special at all I hasten to add.
Ward was good whilst he was on the park and made some telling tackles.
So was Walker.
The rest were very poor.
If that was Abblets idea of showcasing his talents to the Ozzies then he better think about staying here next season.
Moon for me is never a SO and should move back to LC and we either try Suttcliffe there again or give Lilley a go.

Re: WCC18 | Melbourne Storm v Leeds Rhinos : Fri Feb 16, 2018 2:51 pm
An expected result considering our injuries in the front row and then compounded by the ones during the game we were never likely to get close but many top NRL sides will suffer the same fate with stronger sides than ours against the Storm this year, who i expect will be top 2 again on that evidence so its far from a disgrace.

People moaning about Moon at 6 need to realise he only brings a running threat and if that isn't working he won't be seen as he can't control a game. As said before the season started Myler has a huge responsibility and if he can't grab big games by the scruff of the neck we are starring down the barrel. I don't hold it against either for not excelling in this partucular game, with a pack on the back foot, but there are big questions needing to be answered if/when big domestic games come round, Myler in particular who has yet to show he is a big time player.

He just might not be comfortable singing in public.

Does it really matter? Personal choice if you don't want to sing, don't. In all honesty i don't see why they do national anthem on club level games it should be reserved for internationals only as club teams have mixed nationalities playing for them, just my opinion.
