several U23s pushing for a place.
yes, we need a top midfielder. other than that we are ok

Listening to the Phil Hay show, Phil is saying we are definitely in for O'Brien from Hudds, deal being worked on. Thinks we may bring in a winger still but only if price is right, thinks it we do business for a winger, it'll be someone we can sign for £15 - £20m.. could be a chance no one comes in also.

Think we need a midfielder and a striker plus O`Brien.
Yes for sure we have some good U23`s who should/could have played last year but Bielsa held them back which might not be a bad thing.
A couple of injuries and the depth of our squad could be found out especially if we are relying on the likes of Costa and Roberts to bridge the gap.

Not so sure we need a striker. Thought Rodrigo looked very good at end of last season playing there when Bamford was rested. We need cover for Phillips a better attacking mid who scores goals and better cover than Costs gives, someone like Dan James imo.

Trarore or Pereira would have been ideal along with Gallagher but that isn`t going to happen.
Not sure about James as he`s too much like Costa for me maybe a slight upgrade.
If we can offload Costa and get 2 more at least possibly 3 then we could finish top half of the table again.

I think we're actually OK for attaching mids in Rodrigo, Klich and Roberts, it's the box to box (Dallas) position we lack cover for. Other than Dallas, I'm not sure we have anyone else who can play there to anywhere near the same level. A fully fit Forshaw would be exactly what we need, but that's a huge if.
I actually Lewis O'Brien would be a great signing, a high energy midfielder who can carry and win the ball is exactly what we need.

Klich needs to be much much better than last year. He was awful. Needs to score more. Robert’s also needs to get goals. Agree re Dallas position

he wasnt awful.
halfway through he ran out of steam after not missing a game for 2 years or so.
and also he picked up several niggling injuries, playing when he shouldnt have at times

I actually agree with Trebor and thought both Klich and Roberts were poor.
Roberts for me tries to do the fancy stuff without the requisite skill set to be able to do it and gets caught out.
For me Klich needs to be more consistent and maybe then he can justify his place in the team.
Klich might well have run out of steam as Tad says and hopefully we see the best of him this season.

Klich was excellent the first half of last season, but he played most of the season with a hip injury which severely effected his mobility, he looked like he was running in cement at times .
