Hull were decent. We were pretty much like the last two seasons.

I am at a bit of a loss as to why our weaknesses don't appear to be getting addressed.

We are a new team with some new players in key positions come back to me in 10 games and lets see where we are, I understand we are frustrated but come off it weve had one game against a very good Hull side, we looked a lot better in the first fifteen minutes than we did last year who's to say we dont start performing like that for longer periods? I actually agree with Gotcha on this one Handley stuffed that up (as did Newman on the resulting play) but the play to set those up looked better than last year, people criticised walker for his passing but the one for handley was very good, more of that please

Without quality investment in the pack as the priority this team will continue to be outmuscled and frustrate. 2 props on the bench is a must everyweek.

Agar has never been a decent coach, it seems he is loved by Gary and the rest of the Hetheringtons, you will play better than you did today, only one game in, we looked good (FC) but we've looked good before. Give it another 9 games and see how things are shap(k)ing up.

I'm amazed after what Agar did at Hull he still gets a gig anywhere.

They were not very good imo they were good enough. Played to their strengths and that was enough against our pack. We were poor overall but like you say score could have been closer which emphasises the point in not going over board on Hull. Not criticising them in that comment as i think they have a few more gears yet to go through that didn't need to find today. I'm sure Hull fans are encouraged by that start.

If you want to really boil your p1ss, take a look at his part in Hull's first. Miss tackle, don't bother chasing back until the cause is lost. He'd have made that last ditch attempt if he'd done what should be second nature.

That said the pack would have faired a lot better with Ava playing and the ridiculous decision not to put two props on the bench against a big pack.
Hull looked good without really having to get out of 2nd gear.
A positive Prior and we looked better with gale. Also liked the Hanley try in how Walker linked in with the line and passed.
Someone said Mellor looked good? Seemed to just be a stupid penalty machine.
The pack is light and the outside backs are dire, Walker and Newman have potential the rest are just dire lack pace and cutting edge and don’t even make up for lack of pace with good d. Rubbish in attack and defence.

I dare say we will improve but a pretty crap start.

Nothing out there today to change my mind - Far too many weaknesses to be anywhere near this year IMO
