Ferres is nothing more than a bad apple. Didn't want him in the first place. He isn't good enough, he has a shocking attitude and contributes nothing.

Bad apple you know this because?
I am no Ferres fan but a friend of mine who was chatting to Agar about Ferres and giving him his strong views of why he's useless .Agar listened then waved a young first teamer over and asked him to tell my friend who is the most influential player for you young ones.To my friends amazement he said Ferres because hes talking and encouraging us all the time while he's on the pitch. Now my friend was amazed at this as I was when he told me.

This is were us speckies get carried away we think we no better than the coaches
Id do this id do that ,this player is crap that player is crap .ive said it before what are your credentials other than being a supporter ,being a coach of an un14 team means nothing or you once coached an un8s side .we as speckies arnt qualified to pick this side or say this should be done that should be done we are nobodys who actually think this forum is taken serious by leeds officials.
Well im sorry we are just talking bull to each other thinking we no best when in theory we dont ,as i say there is about 10 members who think they no it all and we should listen to were leeds are going wrong ...there is a saying if a coach listened to the fans he would soon be sat with them.
We judge players wen we dont no what game plan or instruction they have been given. We say are forwards are crap ,they will be if your halfs and hooker are .
We say are halfs and hooker are crap , they will be if are forwards are crap its swings and round abouts who plays well but you need a full team all playing well to achieve any thing ,and if for what ever reason a player is under performing this has a knock on effect to another player who will just get abused by fans who carnt see the bigger picture ...we only have opinions and they arnt the same as professional coaches .remember how did every player get to were they are today if they carnt play think about it .
Also remember some off us havnt even played the game but think and say how it should be done ,and to the players who never made it speckies, there is a reason you didnt go further, and the lads that are pro who you watch every week there is a reason they went further .
Just a note .ive enjoyed brett ferres company and in my opinion he is a fine gentleman , so again just your opinion on im but in mine hes nothing you portray..lets just watch and support are team without the slagging off of players ..

Ie.Great example above ...Didnt want im in the 1st place ....
There you go ,who are you to think your opinion should have been asked, your opinion is worthless you are a nobody and ill go as far to say i wonder have you ever played .

Ferres is clearly well thought of by players and management, we do not know what goes on behind the scenes and what players contribute. I don't think we need to resign Ferres but to be fair his performances at the back end of last year were probably his best in the shirt and as I say he's clearly a well respected member of the team.

All fair enough and he must offer a fair bit behind the scenes. We are obviously keen to keep some experience in the camp for the younger ones to learn from and that’s fine.

However Ferres is too limited for first grade at Leeds right now in terms of his output. He’s not done enough for some time, and is especially poor in his discipline, which he has total control over and responsibility for. His propensity to give penalties away puts the whole team on the back foot. He is technically pretty solid in D and he does bring some fire on the other hand; which we also lack, but some of the stuff he concedes is just slack.

If Ward is fit, Ferres doesn’t get in the 17 for me, he’s be behind Ward, Martin, Merrin, probably Mellor too.

If he’s not on stupid money, can stay fit and help the younger/fringe players in reserves with occasional 1st grade cover I wouldn’t be too bothered. But isn’t that why we have Donaldson too...?

In further thoughts does anyone else think that this next year will be make or break for Sutcliffe and Cam Smith..?

Alright Mr/Mrs Ferres - calm down!

It would be a pretty quiet and boring forum if only super league players and coaches can pass comment or share opinion.

Anyhow, I'm gonna judge Ferres on his impact - which is minimal, and does not justify an extension in my eyes. I'm also willing to say I think he's a complete lover off the pitch - based on the occasions I've seen him outside of RL circles, his social media activity and his well documented approach to relationships with team mates and their wives.

I've never been overly convinced with Cam Smith but he is still young so I'm reserving a bit of judgment, will be interesting to see how he goes next year.

Sutcliffe (and this won't be popular on here) is very useful as a squad member because he can play in a few positions, but unfortunately that strength has been his weakness in so far as he's been shunted around so much he's never had chance to cement a position.

What I do think is 2021 is where we'll see a lot of movement in the squad, I think people are maybe expecting too much in terms of the squad changing for next year.

I'm hoping next year will be a bit of a springboard for a few of our youngsters. Newman must have learned a lot from last year, I'd like to see Oledski kick on a bt and I'm hoping to see a few more academy lads making strides, mainly Mclelland and Johnson.

I really hope we get off to a good positive start it would be so good to get a few good wins early on.

Agree Christopher. Our options are limited at the moment so I dont think it's too bad an option resigning him for the right money. Ferres performed well back end of season as he kept fit. More of the same and he can do a good job next year.

I can see Walker, Newman, Oledski, Smith, Muizz, Johnson, Holroyd, McLelland making progress next year. Well, at their age they should be improving every year.

Another reason we need to be careful about our cap space is making sure we have room to upgrade the young players pro-actively, because if we don’t we’ll lose them.

Pity Broadbent got his jaw smashed and I hope he’ll be right to play again for next season.

We might see Trout, Walters, Dupree or Stephens make a first grade appearance or two also.

I’m excited for the new U18s next year. There are another four or five in there I expect to make first grade too.

What a load of absolute patronising turd.
We signed an England BR & he's been garbage what part of any gameplan is that exactly Mr Bennett?
You dont need to be a GF winning Coach nor have numerous State of Origin apps to see what a poor signing he's been.
Also as paying our hard earned to watch this type of average player continually produce dross performances our opinion is worth quite a bit if the Club want to continue to fill those big shiny new stands & those pricey Corporate boxes.
