I don't see BJB as a centre. I think a centre has to come in and Hardakre will have to hang about for a season until Webb leaves and BJB goes to FB, which results in Hardakre on the wing.

That's the way I see it.

What positions do all these players want to play, out of curiosity?

BJB - FB?
Watkins - wing?
Smith ????

Given the talent emerging and his form since returning from Union, I would get rid of Smith and replace with an experienced NRL centre with a few seasons left in him.

No doubt at least one of these players will be ear-marked to replace Webb in the long term, and should cover for him when he inevitably gets injured (or banned) in the future - BJB?

Leeds should try and persevere with Watkins at centre. Defence can be worked on, although other young SL centres seem to have similar problems in this area (e.g. Welham, Charnley etc).

That leaves Hardaker and Hall to play on the wing, unless Hardaker turns into a half-back at some stage.

BJB comes back from a 3 month layout and puts in an outstanding performance.

Not even the fella I particularly had in mind but you've emphasised the point that Hall has competition in that area from within the squad.

Hall is a good option there but given equal opportunity I think Watkins is potentially better and equally Hall potentially a better centre.

In that case I would agree on BJB but not Hardakre. After another year of experience and some work in the gym in the off season maybe, but not at present.

IMO Hall is the best British winger in the league.

However to argue that he isn't even the best one at Leeds based upon some potential shown there by a centre and a full back is an argument but a very weak one. When either of Watkins match Hall's rise to international standard, durability and try scoring ratio over a prolonged basis let's re-visit the discussion.

Until then Hall is a fixture on the wing for Leeds and England IMO.

So your position is that Jones-Bishop has shown some potential on the wing?

Such potential was noted by some quite a while ago while others were only too happy to state he didn't possess the skill-set to play the position.

agreed.

Interesting article on the beeb by George Riley. He says as he understands it Leeds have been scouting for a big name centre to replace Senior for a few months now and will announce something in the near future....
