McCartney has gone back to Sunderland so Hughes, Parker or Bessone will get a shot at left back for the Boro game. We are trying to sort something out with Sunderland to get him back. Hopefully on a permanant deal but i suspect it will be another loan, end of the season would be nice because he's done well since joining and has improved the more he's played. Also hope we get Dunne, he'd be a great signing along with O'Brien as our CB pairing but i dont think we'll pay his wages. If Villa take the majority of his wages still then we may get him but if we have to pay him in full he wont join us, he'll be on big money will Dunne.
Killa is going to the Asia cup with the Aussies and if Johnson gets sold we'll be short in midfield, Amdy Faye's deal expires in January aswell so we'll be well short in midfield. Infact i think there's only Howson who can play there if the other 3 aren't here, so we'll need to invest in a couple of midfielders atleast. Would take Michael Johnson on loan from Man City but we'd need someone else who's more of a battler in there.

O'Brien is off to cardiff from what i've heard.

We still require another midfield regardless of whether Killa/Johnson stay, like you say we need a battler. I said it from the beginning of the season, we require a holding midfield as the balance in our team isn't right.

Not a great result today, but keeps our unbeaten run going. Too many draws recently

Today's performance was absolutely terrible but we got a point and could/should have won it at the death through McCormack(how did he miss?).
We couldn't possibly have played any worse and a decent team would have thumped us. No quality going forward, out battled in midfield(surprise, surprise) and still cant defend corners. 2 men were marking Wheater and sandwiched him yet he still scored.
When Snodgrass isn't on song like today we tend to struggle and he really was awful. Gradel on the other side was poor aswell so we had nobody creating anything apart from McCormack but he didn't see too much of the ball. We've been on this unbeaten run and 10 games into it Larry decides to drop Kilkenny, why? Why change it when were doing well, i know were still unbeaten but we've thrown points away over Christmas. Johnson and Howson will get out battled most games if there's only them 2 in midfield, it's so annoying when Larry reverts back to them when we clearly need someone else in there with them. Johnson was really shocking today but then whats new? He cant tackle and is fouling people all the time, he offers very little going forward, he's got a decent cross and shot but he's not accurate with it and then ball ends up out of play for a goal kick most of the time with him. I really hope someone puts a bid in this week and he jogs on because we'll be all the better for it. Faye is a better option than Johnson, at least he'll get stuck in and wont get out muscled. We really need to bring someone in though, i'm sure Larry will have someone lined up, also need another CB to partner O'Brien and McCartney back. Hughes did a job today at left back but not someone you want there for a few games running. Why doesn't Somma ever get a game now? we were 1-0 down and he brings on Sam, Watt and Killa when we've got Somma and Paynter sat on the bench.
Cardiff and QPR both lost today but Norwich have shot above us with a game in hand, really good side Norwich and Lambert has done a great job down there. they also win late on alot, same as last season and i wouldn't be surprised if they went up.

i think we looked tired today,thought boro shut off our wide men and we were devoid of ideas and falling behind didnt help with boro getting 10 men behind the ball at every opportunity.we need to get george mcartney back from sunderland think he`s under rated and supports gradel well.midfield looks weak now killer going to asia cup could do with a bit of class in their to take control.still 11 matches unbeaten and although weve hit a dip in form every point helps,i would have taken where we are before the season started but with the run weve had peoples expectations change.

The reason I asked is because he was asked to do a job on the left wing for us today as Tom Cruise was out ill and Robson had to play left back to cover him. He spent the entire game wandering around aimlessly doing nothing and when he was substituted he stormed off down the tunnel, refused to shake Kavanagh and Abbott's hand and walked off effing and blinding.

Has he always thought he's a lot better than he is and been a petulant little git?

He turned down a chance to go out on loan a few times until he was persuaded to do so so probably is. Don't know why he thinks he's so great though he's never actually done anything in his career!

That's it, he can't get in our squad as our two first choice strikers are better than him, he's going to end up down in League Two the way he's going!

Apparently his missus has been mouthing off saying "He's too good for this club" in the Wags area, making both him and her very unpopular.

His loan runs out after Monday's game at Tranmere and I don't think he'll be welcome back!

I watched us Yesterday on the internets, thought we were rather poor overall but so chuffed we managed to grab a point. Was a nice cool finish from Becchio, think he was carrying a knock aswell seemed like his back was sore from colliding with their keeper so good on him for battling on, McCormack could & probably should have grabbed us the win with his free header though. Still keeps our run going. Tuesday night will be a much harder game though.
