Have just read in the League Express that Trevor has passed away suddenly at the age of 67.
Can anyone shed any more light on this ??, as I worked at the same place as Trev in the 90's, and bumped into him and his brother John in Scarboro' last year.

As fil states I also worked with Trevor in the 90's what a great guy to know and work with. He had his we mobley photos in his top drawer at work he was proud to have played for Cas. I am proud to have known him RIP Trevor not forgotten

RIP Trevor Briggs. A truly all round nice guy and what a great try-scoring record for Castleford.

I believe it was a heart attack , There is a tribute on the Official Tigers site at http://www.castigers.com/article.php?id=3732 He was a lovely man , I posted on another site that I remember been allowed to go round to Trevors house when he lived near us in Allerton Bywater , We knocked on the door and this lean 6ft odd moustachioed bloke answered after nervously asking if he was Trevor Briggs he said yes and just made us feel so welcome He gave us all (about six of us) his autograph and some tie-ups , A very nice man . I've a photo as my background of the 1970 cup winning team... I think Trevor is the first to leave us?
