Cas were the better team yesterday for long periods of the match.
It was immensely frustrating to watch as we put saints under pressure, then relieved it all by conceding a very soft try 3/4 times.
What happened was.....
Daz clark broke through, had support left and right to beat the full back, but instead took the tackle. On the third tackle of the set, Rangi dropped the ball off to Mason, who wasn't expecting it, and got clattered.
two plays later we had conceded an interception try, and Keith not-so-politely informed Rangi of his displeasure at receiving that pass.
A few seconds pushes and pointed fingers later, it was all over. Powell says himself that it was born out of passion and frustration in equal measure.
Personally (although it went a little too far) I feel a little sorry for Mason. ....he hasn't been involved in much this season, but at least when we conceded points he showed that he really does give a damn - more than a couple of players I could mention yesterday, who have had far more game time than he has this season.
It's good to see people playing for Cas who wear their heart on their sleeve and genuinely are aggrieved by low quality from their team mates - yes it boiled over, but to me it represented a guy who was angry at conceding that try and losing the game
