| Castleford Tigers 19-man squad vs Hull FC:
1 Richard Owen
3 Michael Shenton
5 Kirk Dixon
6 Rangi Chase
7 Jamie Ellis
8 Jonathan Walker
9 Daryl Clark
10 Craig Huby
12 Weller Hauraki
13 Grant Millington
15 Adam Milner
16 Nathan Massey
17 Oliver Holmes
18 Jordan Thompson
19 Jordan Tansey
23 James Clare
24 Charlie Martin
27 Ryan Boyle
29 Ben Davies
Ben Davies could make his debut. I'm surprised Thompson has been picked against his future employees (if he makes the 17). Pointless playing him and not looking interested lately although he as been at centre.

| My team for Friday would be top heavy with forwards, if were going to take this one we will need to beat them up front, it says they will be without Ellis, Tickle, & Briscoe, so we might see Arundel back down the lane.
We don't have Carney for this game again, so for me I would play Owen, if he his fit, if not it will be Clare, but I don't think he is quite ready this season, but we need to get the defence right on that wing so once again I would make a change at centre but we don't have anyone, to replace Tompson in the centres, unless we do a Leeds & change the 19 at the last minute.
My team would be
1; Tansey
2; Owen
3; Shenton
4; Tompson
5; Dixon
6; Chase
7; Ellis
8; Walker
9; Clark
10; Huby
11; Hauraki
12; Holmes
13; Millington
14; Boyle
15; Davies
16; Massey
17; Milner
With the loss of Carney & Webster we wont be has strong in attack, but Tompson might decide to show his new employer's that he can make a difference, he can find the try line in attack but his positional sense at centre is poor to say the least when it comes to defending, & at times we have suffered, but hopefully we can do a job & take the points.
There is one thing I can guarantee their will be a lot of Cas lads & lads from our district playing on Friday.

| Hull FC squad looks like mostly ex-Tigers and ex-Robins at a glance and even more to follow next year. Wonder why they want to do that ?

| There cant be any type of quality coming threw there ranks, or they might not be bothered about going out, employing the kids & getting them into the first team, there doesn't seem to be any point in spending thousand's on youth when you can just poach a player from another club, by offering them a few quid more.
it seems the days of loyalty are dead, & it all comes down to the ££££££££££££ signs.

| It is funny when you look at it, in your top 25 squad, how many players were born on Humberside? Horne, Yeaman, Houghton, Bowden & Kent, & then how many players have you poached or bought from players born in Wakey Cas & Fev, that little triangle, Lynch, Watts, Westerman Arundel, Crooks, Ellis, all Cas lads,
Briscoe, Whiting, both Fev, then Pits from Waky, so yes it's very funny it's funny that Hull have more Cas lads in it's squad of 25 than it does lads from Hull.
I'm sorry it's not funny at all when you think about it, I feel sorry for the young Hull lads who cant get a start at the club, most of them support.

No need to feel sorry for them at all. The young Hull lads now have superb facilities at Bishop Burton and Sirius Academy in which to develop not only their playing skills but also life skills as well. As the years go by more and more home grown talent will step up into the ranks just like Chris Green, Josh Bowden, Dean Hadley and others have done recently. The cream will be given the best possible pathway through to the first team if they have the necessary skills and attitude. Those who don't make it will still have attained skills to take them into other walks of life. The Agar and Hetherington days at Hull of ignore the juniors are long gone. Big investment has been made precisely in that area of development. And it's likely lads like Tom Lineham from out of town will be attracted to these facilities as well - so there'll be a mix of locals and non-locals vying to become top level players.
All that said it's not just Hull that take players from the West Riding though is it ? What about Kirk Dixon, Danny Washbrook, Frankie Mariano to name but three ? It's a two way street.
Looking forward to Friday's game if we don't bring our A+ game then you'll take the two points no problem.

Looing forward to the game myself, plus I'm glad the days of not producing the Humberside youth might be a thing of the past, it's not just the Hull club, every club should be aiming to produce young talent from there area, if every club did what Leeds, Wigan St's & our selves do, in producing players we wouldn't be talking about reducing the SL to 12 clubs, 11 English, instead we would be talking about increasing the number to 16, giving us 14 English, or British, clubs, & perhaps adding a new French club ?, so I hope your youth system gets going & we see more Hull lads making a living in SL.
