If I was a Cas fan I'd love him to stay and hope he wont leave. But it's highly unlikely he's going to be at Cas next year unless you get some money behind you.

As a Salford fan, I know what it's like for the backbone of your team to be offered better elsewhere. We had Myler, Ratchford, Holdsworth, and Moon to name a few.

Whoever he goes to, he'll be a hard guy to replace. But at the end of the day, players come and go, it's the Club that you support that matters.

Well considering Steve Gill says money is not an issue so they club can keep Chase.

You cant replace a player like Rangi, to me the visa issues could be sorted if he became a British citizen, yes he has a record but so do other players playing in SL, Cas should be looking into that path, & trying all they can to keep him.

There are not many players who can do what Rangi does on the field, the only compensation we would get is the wages we would not be paying him, but i hope we sort it out & he stays, as he will be a big loss to Cas & SL.

So why do all the media outlets, fans and general rumours say he's going?

And that's not me quipping back, it's a genuine question.

Because it's the same every single year, the media hate Cas having one of the best players in the league - it's almost like they feel they don't "deserve" to have him.

Since he's arrived at Cas he's signed for: Warrington, Wigan, Leeds, Wakefield, Salford, Hull FC, Huddersfield, St George & Brisbane according the rumours & the press and it's likely to be the same again next season.

We have been loosing Rangi for the last two years, according to the papers, we get it slammed down our throats every Easter, but if he goes so be it, he will be missed but Cas will go on.

It will be a loss to Cas, SL, & maybe England.

Why don't the club just come out with a statement saying Chase is contracted to Cas Tigers until the end of 2015 and is not going anywhere? Why are people at the club including the coach and CEO constantly saying "we will see what happens at the end of [uthis season[/u" and "Rangi will be a Cas player until the end of [uthis season[/u" when he is contraced to us for another 2 years?

No smoke without fire on this one IMO. The club are preparing its supporters for the news he will be leaving us.

Probably don't want the supporters turning on him halfway through a season, especially if he has an ordinary game once in a while. You make a good point Tigerade, if everything was rosy they would have been shouting it from the hilltops and putting rumours to bed.
