Chase Masterclass Demolishes the Wildcats It was tenth against twelfth as the Magic weekend witnessed its first West Yorkshire derby of the festival. The stands were starting to fill after the opening fixture between the Dragons and the Broncos and the atmosphere was starting to build. The Tigers drew first blood early in an epic encounter when Chase turned down the chance of a two point penalty and Clark darted from acting half-back for the opener. Seven minutes later a thirty metre Carney break from his own ten metre line allowed him to find the supporting Ellis to go the remaining sixty and cross in the left corner. I was saying this morning I had a feeling after last week's second half performance, we were capable of giving someone a pasting soon. I just didn't think it would be that soon. I also said that I felt the Lolcats would score about 26 points so our attack would have to be better than that. After those things happened, I said I'd win the lottery tonight. I didn't.

The second half against Catalans and the first half today is the best continuous 80 minutes of rugby we've played in a long time. Now all we need to do is turn that into a complete performance and do it consistently. Easier said than done I know.

I thought at times in attack we lacked some composure and we still conceded some soft tries. The overall improvement in performance since Millward left however, is plain for all to see. Powell and Orr seem to be taking the squad in the right direction at the moment and that performance today was rather impressive to say the least.

Nice to see us getting some credit for a change!

It's usually because the opposition played badly isn't it? No credit from either Cullen or McRae on sky. I can understand Jimmy Krankie being a bit bitter towards Cas after we stuffed Warrington and got him the sack, but what have we done to McRae? Is it because we didn't sell Rangi to Hull? Or did Jack Fulton accidentally sell him an out of date pizza?

Best team won yesterday & Rangi Chase is just unplayable at times. Well done (as much as it pains me to say )

Looks like you're maybe starting to turn the corner. Really like the look of Carney, the bloke is a beast. Knew that was a set move when he was lurking about 15 metres infield prior to it. Wouldn't mind seeing him in a Hull shirt.
