Ive just heard you have signed Tyrone McCarthy from Warrington , on a months loan , this lad is a good signing , a real work horse , never gives up trying .

You can tell how bad things are at a club when the latest signing to hopefully help get us out of the mire is appraised as having a "great beard"...

You're quite right but it's not as good as Jamie Jones-Buchanon's beard and sideburns though - that's a classic !

Don't underestimate the unifying power of impressive facial topiary; in the most depressing season in our recent history, we were all able to rally under the banner of Julien Rinaldi's magnificent beard/hair combination.

I can't agree about McCarthy's though - when he was with us, he looked like a homeless.

He will provide us with cover in the back row - good signing for me. We rely heavily on our "patch up" players when we have a small squad and he's a good 'un

I remember we signed Chris Tuson as an unknown from Wigan - he is now an established first teamer - players do get a lot out of these loan deals

The beard has gone and replaced by designer stubble (it was about raising money for charity). Ben Currie's form this season has restricted Tyke's first team opportunities so I expect he can't wait to play for Cas. Not the best attacking back row but his defence is good and he gives his all.
