| I think that all of the players we have signed for 2013 are an improvement on who they have replaced from 2012:
Keith Mason - Paul Jackson
Wellar Hauraki - Brett Ferres
Lee Gilmour - Steve Snitch
Michael Shenton - Joe Arundel
Jake Webster - Josh Griffin
Jamie Ellis - Danny Orr (if only for the younger legs / better kicking game)
Jordan Tansey - Ryan McGoldrick
Justin Carney - Nick Youngquest
Taking out those who have left who had none / minimal game time in 2012 (Brierley, Grehan, Blackmore, Davies) than the 2013 is looking (on paper) far stronger than the 2012 squad. Althought I still believe that we're an outside back and a forward short of really competing for the play off spots.
I am already looking forward to the 2013 season and am kind of glad that we have a tough opening to the season as it will be a good measure of where we are as a squad. Hopefully, we can catch some of the "big guns" cold and chalk up 2 or 3 wins from those tough first 6 games. With a good run in the Challenge Cup (Wembley would be good), 2013 should be a pivotal season in the history of our great club.

| Stuart Jones, Ryan Hudson and Lee Mitchell all got good game time last year and we need replacments for those too IMO.

Dan Fleming and Charlie Martin are replacements for Stuart Jones and Lee Mitchell. Don't need a replacement at hooker for Raz with a fully fit Clark and Milner rotating

| Overall the players are better than the ones we have lost. Not sure Hauraki is better than Ferres. We'll have to see how Carney goes before we can judge, I thought Youngquest performed well for us.

| for me Hauraki is better than Ferris for Cas, firstly Ferris is a Cas lad but thinks he is to good for Cas, so we will see how he goes at the Giants, Hauraki is a over seas player who wants to play for Cas, and theres the difference if your hart is not in it its time to go, i was born in Cas and im proud of it, but when your two big a name or think you are your better of playing some ware ells, so the ones who have gone good luck but i know i wont be loosing any sleep over him going or any of the others, the team was there before them and it will be hear for a long time to come, the people who really matter to the Tigers are the fans to us its a way of life to the players past, present, and the future, its a job
